So what is going on here?
This blog is part of the Neighborhood Networks and Community 2.0 projects which are working together with the communities of Braddock, North Braddock, Rankin, Swissvale.
The objective of this blog is support investigation into air quality conditions and issues in Braddock and be a forum for the collaborative development of interventions into to this problem. This blog is a way to collect and share information about air quality in Braddock and idea for how to take direct action and influence policy to improve the air quality and quality of life in the Mon Valley.
On the right, you’ll see we have some additional pages. We added a page documenting our visit to Braddock on June 23rd, when we documented diesel powered traffic as it passed the intersection of Braddock Ave and Library St. We also have a page on the right you can link to with some initial ideas for projects to call attention to issues of air quality in Braddock, specifically concerning the effects of diesel powered vehicles.
And we want to know your stories too! Look soon for a blog post asking you to share your stories about heavy traffic and air quality in Braddock, and to read the stories of others.
